These are the in progress photos for my lithograph titled "Faith Healer"... This print is a commentary on "Gay to straight" therapy and how disgusting I think it is.
The drawing begins!
getting there...
The drawing is complete and ready for the first etch...once again the autographic ink (the brown stuff) will fill in completely black.
The drawing is inked up in black on the stone and ready for the second etch.
Skipping ahead a few steps...The image is printed in "Trophies Brown" on Somerset Satin paper...two antique browns are used to fill in the stained glass image and a red for the background of the fire.
A orange to yellow blend roll fills in the flames and superman gets a tan!
A glowing orange light reflection is printed from a photo plate which was exposed to a stabillo pencil drawing on frosted mylar.
A toner wash adds smoke and ash behind the flames and the swastikas get a rd fill.
Done!!!!! 9 colors
